Details: This will be the 9th year the Keefe family takes a Polar Plunge to help those in need. Last years plunge went to benefit Alexandria Teixeria, who was seriously injured on Dec 14th, 2014 in a car accident and Cooper Doucette, paralyzed on the first day of footbal practice in August of 2010. In 2014 the plunge went to benefit Katie Hamilton, who passed away in a tragic auto accident in December 2013. 2010 – 2013 went to benefit Cooper Doucette, and 2009 was for “Hope for Haiti” after they suffered a weather disaster which nearly wiped out their country. The first year, 2008, was for the benefit of the Mark Frattaroli Scholarship Fund after Mark passed away from injuries suffered in a car accident of which he was a passenger in 2008.
Plunge Date: March 11th, 2017
Participants this year: Isabel (Mad Dog) Keefe age 17, her 9th. Miles Keefe, age 14, his 7th. Me, old as crap, 9th. Anybody else who loves to challenge themselves for a great cause.
